In the Fire

When the motivation is burned out,

And now we wrestle with doubt,

The heat is on in the fire,

The pressure is building with loss of desire,

Time is ticking to slow,

It’s difficult to flow,

Hope is slow to arrive,

Inhaling and exhaling trying to survive,

Anxiety is at an all-time high,

Wondering if the dream is going to die,

Standing steal,

Has now become very real,
