Faith can change your brain

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 there are many skeptics that believe that faith in God is like putting faith in an empty bank account and the argument will never cease but continue to increase. However, there is research that points that words can change the brain. Question if the research is out there about certain positive words that can change the brain, what happens when those words develop into faith do the brain stay the same? Or do change of perception takes it place and become action. The bible declares that

“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Question if the word became flesh in the bible and dwelt among a generation what about the word transforming itself into flesh today is this a possibility? Reality dwells within the perception of the experience but how can there be a perception of an experience without an experience?

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—“The word that was made flesh mentions in John 14:16 that he would send the comforter in his name. This comforter is the same word that was made flesh so now research has concluded that words can change the brain.

According to Andrew Newberg, M.D. and Mark Robert Waldman, words can literally change your brain. In their book, Words Can Change Your Brain, they write:

“a single word has the power to influence the expression of genes that regulate physical and emotional stress.” Positive words, such as “peace” and “love,” can alter the expression of genes, strengthening areas in our frontal lobes and promoting the brain’s cognitive functioning. They propel the motivational centers of the brain into action, according to the authors, and build resiliency. https://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2013/11/30/words- can-change-your-brain/

Now the scripture mentions that faith comes by hearing so if words can change the brain then faith in these words can cause this comforter that was left for humanity to actually be able to portray behaviors that can be life changing. The research goes on to mention;

By holding a positive and optimistic [word] in your mind, you stimulate frontal lobe activity. This area includes specific language centers that connect directly to the motor cortex responsible for moving you into action. And as our research has shown, the longer you concentrate on positive words, the more you begin to affect other areas of the brain. Functions in the parietal lobe start to change, which changes your perception of yourself and the people you interact with. A positive view of yourself will bias you toward seeing the good in others, whereas a negative self-image will include you toward suspicion and doubt. Over time the structure of your thalamus will also change in response to your conscious words, thoughts, and feelings, and we believe that the thalamic changes affect the way in which you perceive reality.

As the change takes place in the brain the metamorphosis develops into action and literally the word become flesh that was mentioned in John 1:14 this experience develops into behavior that comes from hearing the word of God and obeying the word.
